Harvey Araton is an award-winning sports journalist, New York Times best-selling author and adjunct college professor, whose career has spanned four newspapers, including 25 years as a columnist and enterprise reporter at the New York Times. He is the author or co-author of nine books and was co-producer of "When The Garden Was Eden," an ESPN 30 for 30 documentary based on his 2011 book (of the same title) about the 1970 and 1973 champion New York Knicks In December 2025, Koehler Books will publish Araton's novel for middle-grade readers, tentatively titled, "The Goal of the Game."
